  Folded Ribbon Roses

Return to Stitch Samples Index

1. Fold the raw edge down a little, then roll the ribbon three or four times to form the centre of the rose. 2. Pull the centre of the rose down so when you roll it into the ribbon it will be level with the top of the fold. Stitch the base of the rose after each fold. 3. Fold the ribbon on the cross. Each fold of ribbon is a petal. 4. Keep folding and stitching until you have the size and shape you want. To finish, stitch the ribbon at the bottom of the rose to prevent fraying.
