2. Long and Short Buttonhole. Follow tips for Long and Short Shading.

3. Buttonhole Shading. Outline shape with Backstitch. Work Buttonhole Stitches close together approx. 6mm (1/4") long. Add another row, overlapping the first row by about 1mm. Continue working rows until the shape is filled.
