Bring the needle through to the right side of the fabric at the required point. Holding the ribbon against the fabric, take the needle back through to the wrong side at the same point it emerged, until a small loop of ribbon is left on the right side. Take care that the ribbon does not twist, so that the loop remains smooth. To ensure every loop is identical, slip a knitting needle inside the loop of ribbon as it is tightened. Once the ribbon sits neatly around it, the knitting needle can be removed. |
