1. Bring the needle threaded with ribbon to the front of the fabric at point A. Just below this point thread a second needle into the fabric for a distance of 4mm (1/6") ensuring its eye is on the right hand side.

2. Wrap the ribbon threaded needle over the second needle and then under its point.

3. Wrap the threaded needle over the second needle and then under its eye.

4. Wind the ribbon in an anti-clockwise direction around the second needle.

5. Bring the end of the ribbon to the back of the work and threaded with coordinating thread secure the rose with tiny holding stitches.
